Sharnece Thomas, MA, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in perinatal mental health and corporate consulting. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University, with additional training in Marriage and Family Therapy. Sharnece combines her expertise in therapy with her experience in corporate consulting, helping organizations develop strategies to support women in the workplace who are navigating perinatal mental health challenges.
Her therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that every individual has the strengths and abilities to work through life’s difficulties. She partners with her clients to help them tap into those strengths, develop new skills, and cultivate a more positive outlook. Sharnece’s work is centered on meeting clients where they are in life and guiding them toward where they want to be.
Sharnece is experienced in using cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and person-centered approaches. Her integrative counseling style allows her to tailor techniques to meet each client’s unique needs.
She has extensive experience working with a wide range of mental health conditions, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Adjustment Disorders, Depression, and Anxiety. She also assists clients in addressing challenges such as grief and loss, self-esteem, financial stress, and workplace-related issues.
Sharnece is also a Financial Coach and Certified Financial Education Instructor and the owner of Opulence Financial Coaching, LLC in Fairfax, VA. Opulence Financial Coaching offers individualized financial solutions for individuals seeking to change their relationship with money and develop positive financial habits to improve their financial situation and meet their financial goals.
